At sixty-seven, Golden Earring front-man Barry Hay is still overflowing in star quality: he is still lead singer of the biggest rock & roll band the Netherlands ever had, in great shape, with those characteristic sunglasses, pitch-black hair and a voice that has stirred up audiences for fifty years. In Hay, he talks frankly about his life, both in and out of the limelight, about his troubled childhood, his family, his ties with India, where he lived as a young boy, and of course, his rise to fame, filled with sex, drugs and rock & roll. Crossing Border has the honour of hosting his book launch.
Leon Verdonschot will interview Barry Hay together with his biographer, journalist Sander Donkers.
