The Kids’ programme of Crossing Border brings a selection of authors and illustrators of children’s literature that showcase the best artistic and literary quality in books intended for pre-readers (0-4), early readers (4-8) and middle-grade (8-12) and 12+
The programmes are bi-lingual: the original language of the book and Dutch.
You can expect hands-on workshops, interviews on the creative and artistic process behind the stories and of course story time (reading aloud) from the authors themselves.
With our selection of authors and illustrators we bring a diversity of voices, languages and life-experiences.
Practical info
The Kids’ programme consists of separate one hour events for different age groups.
Exact times will be communicated in the beginning of September.

Food and drinks: there is a variety of food and drinks available in the foyer of the theater
Booksales: books are for sale in our Other World Bookshop and there will be book signings after the events.
Ticket info
For each programme you need to buy a separate ticket. There are tickets available for kids and parents/supervisors.
Parents are certainly welcome to join the programme but it is also possible to wait in the foyer of the theatre. The foyer is free to enter, no ticket needed.
Ticket check is at the entrance of the room.
The programmes for children 0-4 years are free for the parents/supervisors.
Discount tickets for people with a Ooievaarspas are also available in the ticketshop.
